Valentine's Week Update
Belated update...Sorry, was distracted by sunshine and candy hearts...
Jack was able to complete his 3rd round of chemo on Monday. Uneventful overnight, and he returned home to Alex visiting this week from NYC. Dallas weather has been especially accommodating this week. Beautiful sunshine-filled days as only Texas can offer in February. He’s had enough energy for some golf and a special Valentine’s Dinner with us and Deedie.
Next week, hopefully, he will have a short outpatient infusion and then return Monday February 26 for Round 4-a five-day stay if his counts hold. Full blog post to come during or after that stay.
Wins for the week: What mom doesn’t love having her sons (2/3’s of them, at least. Charlie is in Austin finishing his senior year?) home with her for Valentine’s Day?? After years of making paper hearts and Valentine’s boxes for school-age children. POOF. They’re gone. Honestly, you never believe they won’t be with you on holidays (even Hallmark-sponsored ones)—and then they’re not! Flowers and chocolates are nice, but there’s absolutely no substitute to having dinner with your favorite people on earth.
And the icing on the chocolate chip cookie🥰: Halfway done with this phase of his treatment! Woohoo!
Just now got to read this lovely update! Great news on progress.
Halfway points and having your kids home are sweet rewards! Jack looks awesome, strong, and handsome!! Please give him a hug from the Crows and a high five on his amazing progress. And thanks for the updates - we think of all of you on a daily basis!! ❤️❤️❤️
