Jack’s surgery went very well. Negative margins on bone and tissue samples which is the very, very best news. Long day, but he made it to his room around 6pm. Pain is under control and he’s pressing his pain button like a champ. He’s reasonably comfortable, but anxious for tubes to come out so he can drink a few sips and for the endless beeping to lessen so he can catch more than 2 minutes of sleep at a time. I have a feeling the tubes will come out before the beeping stops.
Awaiting doctors making rounds for more intel on surgery and orders for the day, but all sounding very positive. We’re beyond relieved to have yesterday over and see him on the road to recovery from this part of his treatment.
